LAGUNA VALE — BOUTIQUE HOTEL NEAR BALI’S MOST ICONIC LOCATIONS
Laguna Vale is an architectural concept for a boutique hotel developed by Archigods on a 30-are site in Bali. The project is designed as a private tropical oasis where architecture and landscape create a self-contained ecosystem for relaxation.
The key challenge of the site was the absence of ocean views. Instead of attempting to compensate for this limitation, we transformed it into the foundation of the concept: the central element of the project became an artificial lagoon with a soft sandy shoreline and organic geometry.
The lagoon creates the visual focal point of the resort, forms a strong atmosphere of a destination resort, and unifies all buildings into a single composition.
The architecture follows the principles of Mediterranean plasticity adapted to the climate of Bali: soft arches, light mineral plaster, natural textures, and integration of tropical greenery into facades and balconies.
The spatial composition is built around an inner courtyard-lagoon where water, light, and shadow become the primary architectural tools.
The masterplan provides clear zoning: rooms and villas are oriented toward privacy and internal views, while public spaces are integrated along the lagoon perimeter. The landscape design reinforces the atmosphere of a secluded resort environment.
The concept was developed in 1.5 months — from site analysis to the final architectural vision.
Laguna Vale is not just a boutique hotel.
It is an artificially created landscape scenario where architecture forms its own “view” instead of relying on natural surroundings.

From Concept to Realization
HOW WE CREATED THE LAGUNA VALE PROJECT
Our task was to create a unique resort project on a site without panoramic views. In such conditions, architecture often becomes dependent on the external environment — we chose a different approach.
During the site analysis, it became clear that in order for the project to be investment-attractive, it needed a strong central point of attraction. This is how the idea of the lagoon as the architectural core was born.
Water became the main compositional element — it sets the rhythm, shapes circulation routes, reflects the facades, and creates the atmosphere of a destination-resort level project.
Within 1.5 months, we developed the architectural concept and spatial logic of the project: we created an internal oasis courtyard, redistributed building density, increased room privacy, and refined the facade silhouette considering the sun orientation and Bali’s climate.
The project demonstrates how a limitation — the absence of ocean views — can become the starting point for a stronger and more unique architectural idea.
